And don't forget...
Keep the candle lit until a layer of melted wax forms from side to side. This way, you will ensure that the candle burns evenly.
When you light it again, trim the tip of the wick slightly to prevent it from producing a very large flame.
Do not leave your candle lit for more than 3 hours; when you reach this time, simply extinguish your candle by covering it (do not blow out the candle) until the flame goes out.
